The Command Center is delivered at no additional cost to PerfectDisk 8 users and provides the most robust and intelligent solution for administrators managing defragmenation across the enterprise. Just as PerfectDisk 8 provides more than basic defragmentation with its patented SMARTPlacement™ optimization strategy and Space Restoration Technology, the Command Center goes beyond basic enterprise management with additional and intelligent offerings.

The Command Center is only for use in a network environment. It will not install or run on Windows XP Home Edition and can not be used to manage computers running Windows XP Home Edition.

Deploy/Update/Remove
Quickly and easily deploy PerfectDisk 8 to PCs and servers throughout your enterprise, while minimizing network traffic.
The Command Center provides an easy-to-use Deployment Wizard that guides administrators quickly through the process of deploying, updating and uninstalling PerfectDisk 8. The Command Center also allows you to easily convert your evaluation copies of PerfectDisk 8 to licensed copies without having to first remove the evaluation copies.

Schedule
Schedule automatic and intelligent defragmentation for your entire enterprise from a single console with PerfectDisk 8 AutoPilot Scheduling^™.
The full range of PerfectDisk's AutoPilot Scheduling^™ is available through the Command Center. In addition to being able to set daily, weekly, one-time and screen saver mode defragmentation schedules, there is also a report schedule that analyzes drives and gathers information about fragmentation across the enterprise. Schedules can also be added, deleted and renamed through the Command Center, and computers can be added or deleted to an existing schedule.

Configure
Configure PerfectDisk 8 Client settings for the enterprise according to your specific requirements.
PerfectDisk 8 PC and servers across the enterprise can be easily configured through the Command Center. The Command Center automatically sets default options, but lets the administrator quickly change numerous PerfectDisk 8 settings, such as log settings, system resource and priority settings, and much more.

Manage
Digital dashboard visually identifies any fragmentation issues in your network.
PerfectDisk 8 provides twelve configurable parameters that trigger alerts and warnings to the Command Center when site-defined thresholds are reached. When the alerts/warnings are displayed in the Command Center, an administrator can mouse over an alert/warning and detailed information on the condition is displayed. When the administrator double clicks on a machine, the Command Center displays all the machine's drives, and the alert/warning icon will appear next to the affected drive. Alerts/Warnings can also be automatically emailed to administrators for instant notification of any fragmentation related issues. The dozen alerts/warnings available through the Command Center are 3 times the number provided by competitive offerings. And, because the Command Center's alert/warning thresholds can be defined by the site, PerfectDisk 8 provides much more flexibility and control than other products.

Remote Desktop Management/Remote Control
With the PerfectDisk 8 Command Center, administrators have automatically generated hotlinks to terminal service/remote desktop as well as the ability to remotely control the PerfectDisk 8 Client on a remote computer without leaving the Command Center. This helps administrators troubleshoot problems or potential problems across the enterprise without leaving the Command Center.

Report
Custom warnings and alerts provide more information than any other solution available, giving you up-to-the-minute reporting on fragmentation issues.
Besides the alerts and warnings, several other reports are available through the Command Center. These include:

• Install Report - What computers have PerfectDisk 8 installed, what version/build is installed and license type/expiration

• Fragmentation report - Detailed fragmentation related information including visual indicators of warnings and alerts

• Historic Fragmentation Reports - Detailed fragmentation related information over a user specified date range

• Alert and Warning Report - Current outstanding Warnings/Alerts for your managed computers

• AutoPilot Schedule Report - what computers are scheduled to run PerfectDisk 8 and if the computer has been scheduled by the Command Center or via Active Directory Group Policy
